HK Trip Day 2 - 29 Jul 06
Today is the second day of my HK trip. The itinary for the day will be Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei, visiting all the tourist spots in these 2 areas.Me ready to get out of the hotel room :)
Before we proceed to take the MTR down to Mong Kok, both of us walked to the Mido Cafe at the Temple Street which is about 10 mins away for our breakfast and it was RAINING HEAVILY. This Mido Cafe is one of the famous cafe in HK where alot of HK films is film there.

The Mido Cafe look normal to me doesnt really appeal to me that much cos it is just like any other little cafe around HK. There is 2 levels for this cafe, 2nd level was closed when we went there, but I think the 2nd level will be much better since the 2nd level is always on TV kekeke.

We ordered the famous french toast in HK, a fried toutiao, curry prawn with rice and drinks. Abit heavy but then this was suppose to be our breakfast and lunch together :)

The food there was ok not really that fantastic after all so what with the advertisement in almost all the magazine. Hiak Hiak Hiak. Dont think the glass of coffee n tea mixture taste nice too cos Kel only drank it once thruout the whole trip so I suppose milk tea is better in HK.
While we walked to our MTR station, we passed by the ICAC and Kel was excited and asked me to talk a pic on it hahaha. Never knew ICAC office look like this in HK.

Yuen Po Street Bird Garden
The Bird Garden is the favourite gathering place for Hong Kong's songbird owners. The market provides them with all manner of creature comforts, from intricately crafted cages to nutritious grasshoppers.<--- We didnt go into the garden cos it was raining and we werent really interested in birds too so we proceed on the Flower Market.

Hong Kong's Flower Market is a truly magical experience. Admire in the colourful displays, the sweet scents and the exotic blossoms of many fortune-bringing houseplants. <---ok didnt really think is a magical experience lah hor :P maybe it was raining and I simply not interested in plants.

Goldfish Market
Ensure you have good luck throughout the years with a goldfish bowl from Hong Kong.
Aquariums are popular in Hong Kong because of their perceived luck-bringing quality when properly positioned in the home. Mong Kok's Goldfish Market is a favourite source of supply. <--- Lots of fish stalls, but the stall that interest me is the pet stall hahaha :) The puppies were so much cheaper compare to SIN.
Ladies' Market
The Ladies' Market is Kowloon's version of Stanley Market. You can find an amazing array of bargain women's clothing and accessories. <---the market basically just sells more of imitation goods these days unlike last time where its really sell lots of ladies stuffs.
There was one more market that we visited but i dunno what is that market called but it is located within all these tourist spot :)
After the ladies market, at the end of the street, there was this unpleasant smell that was familiar to me. SMELLY TOFU!!! Yiaks!!! And Kel bought one to try cos he said that since here must try it. Damm smelly, how can he put it into his mouth, yucky!!!

By the time, we finished with all the markets and shops, it was time for our dinner so we went to another suppose to be famous small resturant that sells claypot rice. Hmmm I still think we better dont trust the words in magazine next time. The prawn cake was good but not the claypot rice. 2nd day into our trip I still feel SIN food is so much better than HK.

After dinner, we walked back to our hotel and pass by Temple St again so took a pic of it since yest didnt take any.
