Great Day
Today was a great day to me :) I went out with my buddy Genevieve (know her since Secondary school days). I hardly meet any if my friends since I’m back in Sin. From last night we have been talking on the phone for like 2 hours, and then we continue the talk this morning for another 2 hours or so before we put down the phone and went to get ready for our meeting in the afternoon at 3 pm. We simply got so much to talk that we forget about the time hahaha. Those updates and gossips were good of course :)We had high-tea at Raffles hotel’s Tiffin Café. Had a hard time well not very hard lah finding the carpark entrance of Raffles Hotel. The ambience was quite good but abit noisy as everyone was talking and talking and the café was filled with people too. Lucky Gen made a reservation else I don’t think we be able to get a place if we decided to walk in instead. The food variety was limited not as what we both expected because we were told that it was an international high tea so kind of disappointed with the variety but anyway the taste were good for most of the hot food but then it was a big disappointment with the dessert. They were either too sweet or just not nice. The tea was good though and never in my life that I drank so many cups of hot tea, really broke my record because I simply don’t take hot drinks especially tea and coffee unless needed. We were at the café from 4 pm till about 6.10 pm, we just got so much to talk and catch up :) Oh ya nearly forget to mention that the service was good and the waiters are very well-manner and friendly too. When we asked about what they served for dinner and mention could we take a look at the food, they actually make the effort to introduce us all the food for the dinner buffet!!!
Next, we decided to drive down to taka to do some shopping. The carpark was almost full and there was only 8 parking lots left when we entered the carpark so I had to park at the highest level which is level 7, if I got the choice I would have park my car at the basement, never like parking at level 6 and 7 (personal preference). We started our shopping from the basement at the event hall where there are stalls set up selling CNY goodies. Lots of people as usual and guess what, we actually saw one of our secondary schoolmate Sebastian and his girlfriend there, and the Sebastian was so swwweeettt (how envy I am of the GF), he actually make the effort to help her girlfriend carry her bag. My bf don’t do that , well will do that for a super short time when I start complaining at times and will stop doing that super fast too. Anyway will talk more on another day if I got the mood to write on this (I just want to complain about this!!!). After the short time at the event hall, we made our way to Wisma’s Isatan. There were so many people there, just can’t stand the crowd. Walked the whole of Isatan, from level 1 to the last level which I think should be 4 levels? After the walk at Isatan, Gen announced that she can’t walk anymore as she was too full from the high-tea we had earlier on :) so we proceed to coffee bean in Taka for a rest. Spent a long time there of course by just talking. Before we left for home, we took a quick look around Mphosis, Gen tried on a few dresses but didn’t manage to get any.
Reached home around 10 plus feeling so tired but enjoyed myself :)
